Background
A section of the largest site by Workspace is to undergo a BMS upgrade. The main works are on the control of the boilers and pumps as well as the monitoring of the plant room, heating and electrical metering. The controllers will be linked to the new Optergy Enterprise servers for remote control and monitoring of the site.
Our Solution
We were the most cost-effective solution offering the latest technology. We installed IP-based controllers which was a massive speed upgrade over their old legacy controllers. We installed an Optergy server, connecting it remotely so their facility managers could access the site from anywhere. We also developed all-new graphics that made the system clear to use and interpret for the building operators. For the 1 AHU that had controls issues, we discovered during the cutover that the zone temperature sensor was faulty, and this was causing overheating and massive gas usage.
