Background
i12 Katong is a shopping mall located in the east of Singapore at the intersection of East Coast Road & Joo Chiat Road. The mall has seven floors including 3 basement floors. They closed for business in March 2020 to prepare for a complete overhaul of the interior. We were contracted by M-Tech Air-Con & Security Engineering Pte Ltd for the BMS scope of work.
The water-cooled ACMW system found in the mall includes AHUs, Pre-cool AHUs (PAHUs), Fan Coil Units and Kitchen Exhaust & Supply Fans. The CHW system includes 4 water-cooled chillers with dedicated sets of CHWPs and CWPs and 4 cooling towers.
The BMS will also have lighting control and monitoring of electrical, fire safety and sanitary systems. When finished, the majority of the project will be utilising Proton 50 and P864s along with Dwyer sensors & BTU meters and Abiestech thermostats for the FCUs.
