Background
Katong Shopping Centre began operation in 1973 and was the first mall in Singapore to have air-conditioned rooms. This project was a Full CHW System replacement for Singapore’s first air-conditioned shopping centre, complete with calibrated sensors and a data logger system.
The existing CHW System equipment was decommissioned and we installed brand new equipment. We did the BMS and EMS for the CHW plant only along with our measurement and verification data logging system. Our client promised the shopping centre an overall efficiency of 0.6kW/RT with the new system and we have assisted to achieve and surpass this.
We also undertook a full chilled water system replacement, complete with calibrated sensors and a data-logger system to assist the centre in continuing to provide the perfect ambience for shoppers and workers and deliver greater energy efficiencies.
